At 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, a group of Mercyhurst dancers will lead fellow students, faculty and members of the Erie community in Water Dance Erie at Dobbins Landing. Similar events will be occurring simultaneously (and livestreamed) at venues across America as National Water Dance strives to raise awareness of water-related issues. Following the performance, which will include a common gesture phrase being used by all participating groups, the dancers will lead a procession to the Erie Maritime Museum and Blasco Library, where audience members can experience artistic performances, poetry readings, presentations regarding water issues, and more. All are invited to add to “The Ripple Effect” and join the collaboration to raise awareness of water quality issues. For more information, contact Solveig Santillano at firstname.lastname@example.org.
