Entertaining and deeply insightful, Tie It Into My Hand is an unprecedented look at the life of an artist, told entirely through interviews with directors, filmmakers, artists, writers and performers, including Alan Cumming, Barbara Hammer, Peter Coyote, and Harold Bloom. The filmmaker challenges each of the artists to teach him a violin lesson, though none of them is a violinist, prompting fascinating discussions of the joys and challenges of life as an artist. The film’s director, Paul Festa, will be present for a discussion following the screening.
