An exhibit showcasing Mercyhurst University’s best student artworks across all media opens Feb. 19 in Cummings Gallery at Mercyhurst. The show, expected to include drawing, painting, photography, digital manipulation, graphic design, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics and 3D printed works, will hang through March 16. A reception for the artists will be held in the gallery Thursday, Feb. 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. Juror Alexa Potter, an independent historian and curator, will announce her juror’s awards during the reception. Cummings Gallery is located in the lobby of the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center, and is open weekdays (except Wednesday) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The gallery will be closed March 5-11 during the university’s spring break.
