Cummings Gallery at Mercyhurst University exhibits student artworks in all media, including drawing, painting, photography, computer-generated works, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media, in the Patricia S. Yahn ’50 Juried Student Art Show. Yahn studied watercolors with Sister Angelica Cummings, for whom the Mercyhurst gallery is named, and provided a gift to endow the annual student showcase. Juror Jill Kambs, a visual artist, curator, and educator, will choose the works to be included in this year’s exhibit. The show will be on display from Feb. 13 through March 24, with a reception for the artists on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. Cummings Gallery is open to the public weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekends from 2 to 5 p.m. It will close March 4-12 during Mercyhurst’s mid-semester break.
