National Theatre Live: Frankenstein

The Mercyhurst Institute for Arts & Culture is broadcasting an encore performance of National Theatre Live’s Frankenstein on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 12:55 p.m. in the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center. This thrilling, gothic production is directed by Academy Award-winner Danny Boyle and stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller in alternating roles as Victor Frankenstein and his creation. Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered Creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the friendless Creature determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and $10 for youth. Tickets can be purchased at or by calling the box office at 814-824-3000.
