Stephen Sondheim’s legendary musical is staged for the first time at Britain’s National Theatre and broadcast live to cinemas. It's 1971 in New York and there’s a party on the stage of the Weismann Theatre. Tomorrow the iconic building will be demolished. Thirty years after their final performance, the Follies girls gather to have a few drinks, sing a few songs and lie about themselves. Tracie Bennett, Janie Dee and Imelda Staunton star in this dazzling new production. See it Sunday, Feb. 18, at 12:55 p.m. in Mercyhurst University’s Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and $10 for youths. Visit miac.mercyhurst.edu or call the box office at 814-824-3000 for tickets.
