It’s America in the mid-1980s. In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, New Yorkers grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell. This new staging of Tony Kushner’s multi-award-winning two-part play is directed by Olivier and Tony award-winning director Marianne Elliott and stars Andrew Garfield, Denise Gough, Nathan Lane, James McArdle and Russell Tovey. The showing is part of the National Theatre Live series, which broadcasts select performances at the Royal National Theatre in London to arts centers around the world. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and $10 for youths. Visit miac.mercyhurst.edu or call the box office at 814-824-3000 for tickets.
