National Theatre Live: Angels in America Part One: The Millennium Approaches

Sunday, September 10, 2017 - 1:00pm
Mary D'Angelo Performing Arts Center

It’s America in the mid-1980s. In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, New Yorkers grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell. This new staging of Tony Kushner’s multi-award-winning two-part play is directed by Olivier and Tony Award-winning director Marianne Elliott and stars Andrew Garfield, Denise Gough, Nathan Lane, James McArdle and Russell Tovey. Part One (The Millennium Approaches) will be shown Sunday, Sept. 10, at 12:55 p.m. in the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center. Part Two (Perestroika) will be shown Sunday, Sept. 17, at 12:55 p.m. Both showings are part of the National Theatre Live series, which broadcasts select performances from the Royal National Theatre in London to arts centers around the world. Tickets for each event are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and $10 for youths. Visit or call the box office at 814-824-3000 for tickets.
