Mercyhurst Civic Orchestra

On Sunday, March 24, the Mercyhurst Civic Orchestra will present "Chromaphonic: a Study of Colors in Sound." The performance will showcase George Gershwin's “Rhapsody in Blue,” a piece that debuted 100 years ago in 1924. Guest soloist in the performance will be Dr. Nathan Hess. The program also features Aaron Copland's music from “The Red Pony,” Gustav Holst's “Brook Green Suite,” and additional selections associated with colors. The conductor of the Mercyhurst Civic Orchestra is Dr. Gary Viebranz.
