Be moved by the beauty and grace of 75 Mercyhurst dancers as they take to the stage this fall in a concert titled “Symphony in Motion.” The program showcases both classical and contemporary dance, including an encore performance of Michael Gleason’s Symphonie Italienne; Aftermath, an expression of the “Me Too” movement by Cleveland-based guest choreographer Catherine Meredith; “Influence,” created by Pittsburgh’s Maria Caruso; and a Broadway dance revue choreographed by Mark Santillano. The Friday evening gala performance includes a pre-performance reception benefiting the Jenni-Lyn Watson Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Mercyhurst Empowerment and Prevention Project, a partnership between Mercyhurst University, Crime Victim Center of Erie County and SafeNet.
