The D’Angelo Opera Theatre at Mercyhurst University, directed by Louisa Jonason, presents Verdi’s classic opera, with the Mercyhurst Civic Orchestra conducted by Jonathan Moser. The story tells of an outsider — a hunchbacked jester — who struggles to balance the dueling elements of beauty and evil in his life. Performances are Friday, March 23, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m. in the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $15.50 for adults, $12.50 for seniors and students, and $5 for Mercyhurst students with ID. Visit miac.mercyhurst.edu or call the box office at 814-824-3000 for tickets.
