Two of the most prominent speakers in the world on the subject of autism keynote Mercyhurst University’s inaugural Conference on Autism in Higher Education, scheduled for Nov. 1-2 at Erie’s Bayfront Convention Center. Dr. Stephen Shore will speak Tuesday, Nov. 1, and Dr. Temple Grandin will speak Wednesday, Nov. 2, with both talks scheduled for 6:30 p.m. A single $20 ticket includes admission to both presentations. Registration is also available for the full conference, organized by the Autism Initiative at Mercyhurst (AIM). The program focuses on ways to enhance the quality of services and resources for adults on the autism spectrum, especially with regard to higher education and vocational readiness.
