‘Repurposed,” the new exhibit at Mercyhurst University’s Cummings Gallery, features works by Ronald Gonzalez and Daniel Burke. The show will be on display Jan. 5 through Feb. 5, with a reception for the artists on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. Gonzalez, who teaches art at the State University of New York at Binghamton, works in sculpture, assemblage and site-specific installation. His steel armatures are made of recycled materials. Burke is professor of art at Mercyhurst. His recent work focuses on reclaiming, reusing and repurposing impermanent materials while exploring painting approaches and narratives.
