The Career Development Center (CDC) is located on the first floor of Egan Hall. The CDC provides information regarding career counseling, cover letters and résumé construction, job searches and job interviews, and graduate schools.
The hub of the CDC is CareerConnect, an on-line career management system. Available jobs, internships, and other career related activities are posted on CareerConnect. Students can post their resumes and credentials for review by prospective employers. Each student is assigned an account and then creates a unique password to access the secure system.
For undeclared students or students considering a change of major/minor, the CDC can help you complete assessments to determine what course of study might be best for you.
The CDC also hosts a Career Fair. This annual event attracts approximately 90 organizations which offer part-time and full-time jobs and internship opportunities. The fair is also utilized by freshmen and sophomores as a career exploration tool.
The Mercyhurst University Career Development Center’s (CDC) mission is to serve students, alumni, and enrich learning opportunities by helping students and alumni integrate academic knowledge, leadership experiences, professional development and active citizenship. We help students to explore, investigate and participate in a variety of career related activities that encourage personal, professional and career development.
Information for current students, including documents, résumés, and job searches can be found on our Portal page. The Portal is only available to current students, and you can login for more information.
