Senator Hillary Clinton's campaign has contracted with Mercyhurst College to use the Mercyhurst Athletic Center and Recreation Center for a "Town Hall" event on Tuesday, April 1.
As a liberal arts Catholic College, Mercyhurst extends the use of its gymnasium/ auditorium, when it is requested and available, as a venue for public speaking by the major candidates of the Republican and Democratic parties for the upcoming presidential election.
By making its facilities available to the candidates, Mercyhurst College is not endorsing the policies of any one or more of the candidates. Rather, the College believes it is within its mission academically, socially and spiritually to allow its students and the general community the opportunity to hear from the presidential candidates and reflect upon and consider the issues.
