Homecoming Weekend
Homecoming & Hurstfest 2009 - Sept. 18-20
At commencement this past May, President Gamble offered a special reminder to the class of 2009. He said, "As you know, an alma mater is a mother of sorts and, like all mothers, we love your visits. So don't be strangers to us, the gates are always open." And, in mid-September, our gates will welcome our alumni and friends back to campus for Homecoming and Hurstfest 2009.
No matter when you graduated, you are Mercyhurst and we hope you'll come back to campus this fall to celebrate your Mercyhurst experience. Check out the wide variety of events, register online , and see what special group events are planned. Several sponsoring hotels are also offering special rates for alumni and friends during this special weekend.
As always, changes on campus abound. Challenge yourself and your friends to find 15 changes to campus since you were last here. For some, this will be an easy task since it may have been years since your feet have walked Old Main or through the Grotto. And everyone is invited to tour the newest addition to campus, Warde Hall, our new freshmen residence hall adjacent to Tullio Field.
You now have more options than ever. The entire Mercyhurst family will be celebrating the weekend of September 18-20. Students are holding the 2nd annual Hurstfest, our Laker football team challenges Indiana at Saturday's big game, and families will be visiting their sons and daughters during Parents' Weekend.
No matter how long it has been since your last visit to Mercyhurst, we encourage you to take the time to come back, recall your Mercyhurst experience, and create new memories for the future!
