Adult Students

Many adults wish to complete specific Mercyhurst courses in order to build their professional qualifications, or to prepare for professional certifications or designations. Others want to complete the courses they need to meet the admissions requirements of specific graduate programs or professional schools, or complete course credits that they can transfer to other colleges and universities. Some simply want to take courses for their own personal development.

Mercyhurst welcomes applications from special and visiting adult students. If accepted, you will have the option of enrolling in one of the following ways:

Adult Undergraduate Student

For those who do not hold a bachelors degree

You can take one or more courses for academic credit at the reduced adult student tuition rate of $1,731 per course, plus a $40 registration fee per term. There are no other fees or charges. One course may be taken on a "pass-fail" basis.

You can also take courses without receiving academic or grade by enrolling as an "audit" student. You will pay a special rate of only $440 per course, plus a $40 registration fee per term.

Post-baccalaureate Student

For those who already hold a bachelor's or graduate degree

You can take one or more undergraduate courses for academic credit at the reduced "post-baccalaureate" tuition rate of $1,341 per course, plus a $40 registration fee per term. There are no other fees or charges. One course may be taken on a "pass-fail" basis.

You can also take courses without receiving academic or grade by enrolling as an "audit" student. You will pay a special rate of only $440 per course, plus a $40 registration fee per term.
