Admissions Process

Mercyhurst College operates on a rolling admissions cycle. Most students will begin their applications for admission in September of their senior years. Beginning in November, the College will begin sending Offers of Admission on a weekly basis.

All applicants to Mercyhurst College must submit the following information:

An online application is available. Students can use the Common Application or the Mercyhurst College Application.
An Official High School transcript.
An Official SAT and/or ACT score report.
An untimed writing sample of at least 250 words.
An academic recommendation from a school counselor or teacher, either via an Academic Recommendation Form or separate letter.

Dance and Music applicants must complete an audition in addition to the requirements above.

All applicants are encouraged to visit campus to meet with an Admissions Counselor. While interviews are not required for admission, it does provide the Committee on Admission with a more complete understanding of an applicant’s character and individuality.
