Admissions Process
Mercyhurst operates on a rolling admissions cycle. Students generally begin applying in September of their senior year in high school. Beginning in November, notification will be given to prospective students who:
- Apply online for free or complete Mercyhurst's traditional paper application [PDF, 290 KB] (requires $30 processing fee).
- Submit an official copy of all high school transcripts, as well as official copies of SAT and/or ACT scores.
- Provide letters of reference (recommended but not required).
- Complete any audition requirements of the dance and music departments.
All applicants are encouraged to write a personal statement of introduction. While this is not a mandatory requirement for admission, it does give the admissions committee a more complete understanding of applicants' individuality and character.
Interviews are not required, though we suggest prospective students make an appointment to visit campus and meet with an admissions counselor.
