NOTES

All costs in the above table are based on tuition and fee rates in effect for the 2011-12 academic year.

*Students may transfer up to six undergraduate or graduate credits and apply these credits toward the total credit hours required for a given certificate. Transfer credits will therefore reduce the program’s tuition cost by $459 per transfer credit accepted, plus applicable fees.

**There may be additional laboratory or studio fees associated with specific courses in the hospitality management, graphic design, interior design and health science certificate programs. You should contact an admissions counselor if you would like more information about course-specific fees

***The estimated total tuition and fee cost assumes full time attendance in consecutive terms. Most full time students complete 30 credits per academic year (fall, winter and spring terms). The total tuition costs for part time attendance can be estimated by multiplying the number of credits attempted per term by the cost per credit ($459). In addition to tuition and fees, full-time students can expect to pay between $450 and $600 in book and supply costs each term. You may be eligible for Mercyhurst scholarships, federal loans or graduate assistantships that would reduce your “out-of-pocket” expenses. You should discuss financial aid opportunities with your admissions counselor.

****SOC codes identify specific occupations that are described on the federal government’s O*NET ON-LINE career exploration website. This site provides extensive information about each occupation, including job duties and responsibilities, employment outlook, and average earnings. You can use the SOC codes to search for occupations related to each certificate program. The site can be viewed at www.onetonline.org.
