Transfer Students

In addition to the donor-based scholarships offered at Mercyhurst, students transferring from another college or university are eligible to receive one of two merit-based transfer scholarships, both of which offer awards of up to $9,000.

The scholarships are awarded by the Committee on Academic Excellence during the application for admission process. Candidates must meet certain academic requirements as outlined below.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship


To be eligible to receive this $9,000 scholarship, a student must be an active member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, be enrolled full-time, and have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

The Egan Scholarships


To receive this scholarship, which awards amounts up to $9,000 per year, a student must have at least at 3.0 GPA and must have completed at least 12 credit hours at a four-year institution OR 24 credit hours at a two-year institution.
