With over 20 preparatory programs, affiliations with three graduate schools and unique hands-on opportunities, Mercyhurst’s strong offerings help graduates achieve an 84% placement rate—a number that’s significantly higher than average.
In addition to taking rigorous courses in one of our 20 programs of study, you’ll also gain a broad liberal arts education. Mercyhurst also prides itself on offering a hands-on education, and Pre-Health majors have plenty of opportunities to participate in research, attend seminars, join clubs and organizations, volunteer and take advantage of resources such as standardized test reviews, specialty focus groups and mock interviews. Experienced and dedicated faculty teaches all classes, which typically number under 25 students, in Mercyhurst’s newly renovated laboratories.
One of the most unique aspects of our Pre-Health programs is the option of taking advantage of accelerated medical, pharmacy, podiatry and chiropractic programs. Done in conjunction with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and New York Chiropractic College, the accelerated programs give you the option of fast tracking your path to a graduate degree.
