Jamie Grady is the Director of the Institute for Arts and Culture at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa. In this role Jamie is responsible for overseeing an 800-seat performing arts center as well as heading up an undergraduate arts management degree program. Prior to this position Jamie lived in Wellington, New Zealand, where he had the opportunity to work with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand serving as their national fundraising manager.
Jamie's career began in professional nonprofit theatre eventually serving as managing director for Actor's Express in Atlanta, Ga., and the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, N.Y. As an academic Jamie has taught at Ithaca College and Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
He is the author of "A Simple Statement, A Guide to Nonprofit Arts Management and Leadership" and "Actor, Inc., How to Get the Next Gig - and Still Pay the Rent". He is the author of many articles and is a frequent speaker on arts marketing, audience development and emerging technologies.
Christine graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theatre Arts Management. Most recently Christine worked at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre as House Manager and Front of House Administrative Assistant, and prior to that served as the Assistant to the Artistic Director at American Theatre Company. During her years at Ithaca, Christine had the honor of holding apprenticeships at, Spoleto Festival USA, The Alley Theatre, and PW Productions in London’s West End.
