Dr. Garase and Dr. Rodriguez Speak to the Erie Police Explorers

Dr. Maria L. Garase, associate professor of Criminal Justice and Dr. Frank Anthony Rodriguez, assistant professor of Criminal Justice, spoke to the cadets in the Erie Police Explorers program. The Erie Police Explorers, Wilcox Memorial Post #7, is program that works with youth between the ages of 14 and 21 who are interested in pursuing a career in the law enforcement or criminal justice fields.  Faculty discussed the importance of thinking about their future careers early, doing well in school, having a clean record, obtaining a degree in criminal justice, and exploring careers in criminal justice.  The students were really responsive to the presentation and asked a lot of great questions about the field of criminal justice.  Students were invited to the Mercyhurst University campus for a tour.
