Strategic Communication Concentration
Interested in public relations, advertising, marketing, event planning, or reputation management? The Strategic Communication concentration is designed to combine all of the above and prepare students for the ever changing world of communication. Students will be prepared to work in corporate, non-profit, and governmental communication fields. Strategic Communication students take courses in the communication department, the business department and even graphic design.
You will learn how to develop, execute and evaluate complex integrated communication plans using research, analysis, critical thinking, creativity, new media and practical skills. Consistent with the mission of Mercyhurst College, students engage in hands-on projects for non-profit, service agencies in the Erie region. The program allows students to take advantage of the communication opportunities within the region to merge academic and professional interests.
