Communication majors at Mercyhurst can choose from three concentrations: strategic communication, new media or visual communication, all designed to put you in the career you are looking for.

Communication requires a wide range of skills, including writing, speaking, planning and thinking strategically, and Mercyhurst provides students with these skills through a core of courses covering history, ethics, criticism, theoretical foundations, research methods and basic skills. The curriculum provides students with hands-on learning experiences through campus media outlets like the student newspaper, and the campus radio and TV stations, along with internship opportunities.
