Advising

Great college education depends upon human relationships. Good advising is central to creating a positive educational environment for the student and, upon enrollment in the department, an advisor is assigned to the student based upon the student's area of interest.

Special faculty advisors are available for students in specific career alternatives including health professions, secondary education, or any of the other concentrations offered by the department. In addition, for Pre-Health students, the College has a Principle Pre-Health Advisor and a six member committee.

Each advisor individually assists each student in selecting courses, keeps student records, monitors student achievements, and guides students through the application process to graduate and professional schools.
