The Graphic Design program is housed in the Hirt building in a 30’ x 45’ room containing 21 Macintosh units and a large finishing area. The latest Adobe software, the industry standard, is available for student use on all platforms. Additional hardware includes a scanner, Color Laser Copier, and a large format printer. The room is equipped for wireless interaction for students with their own devices. The instructional podium projects on the large screen for all students to view. Twelve additional Macintosh units are available in the Photography lab.
The Graphic Design Club, AdPro is affiliated with the American Institute of Graphic Arts, AIGA. Students also participate in the American Advertising Federation, AAF, annual awards show known as the Addys.
Scholarship: Incoming Freshmen students are eligible to participate in the Art Department’s Annual Sr. Angelica Cummings Art Scholarship. Submission for the scholarships is due at the end of January. Winners are notified at the beginning of March.
Average Class Size: Graphic Design courses average 15 students capped at 20.
