Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA)
Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA) works with schools in Argentina, Australia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, South Africa, and Spain.
Before your trip, CEA's advisors will reserve your housing, register you in your courses, apply for your health insurance, and help you with financial aid, scholarships, and credits. Discounted airfare is available through their partner, STA Travel.
On arrival, you are met at the airport by a CEA representative and taken to your destination, where you receive an in-depth orientation and tour of your city. CEA's on-site staff functions as academic advisors, support counselors and excursion coordinators.
After your abroad experience, CEA provides helpful tips and information to deal with the ‘culture shock,’ sends an official transcript to Mercyhurst College, and keeps you posted on new and continuing study abroad experiences.
CEA also offers volunteer opportunities for students to participate in while abroad.
