AustraLearn
AustraLearn offers a choice of 30 universities throughout Australia, New Zealand and Fiji and guarantees housing at each. Before you go, you are assigned a personal coordinator to assist you with all aspects of your planning, including course selection.
While planning your trip abroad, AustraLearn offers personal program counseling, immigration visa and passport advice, course selection assistance, and travel options. While you are abroad, the program provides overseas health insurance, a six-day, on-site orientation upon arrival, and resident directors who are available, toll-free, 24 hours a day. Once you return, you are invited into the EnCompass Alumni Program, and official transcripts are provided to Mercyhurst College along with a guide to grade and credit conversion.
Students who participate in the AustraLearn semester abroad or year abroad program in Australia or New Zealand have the opportunity to participate in a weekend-long conservation volunteer project at a location near their university abroad through the Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) organization. This unique program is an amazing opportunity to give back to the environment of Australia or New Zealand, while learning about local environmental issues and spending time with other students and a volunteer trip leader. This opportunity is highly recommended while you are abroad.
AustraLearn annually awards $300,000 in scholarships and has financial aid advisors to assist with transferring federal financial aid to pay for the program.
