Specialized Programs
In addition to the student's academic program of study, special academic programs are offered by Mercyhurst University to broaden the educational opportunities of its students.
The Mercyhurst University Honors Program (MCHP) offers students an enriched intellectual experience, both in and out of the classroom.
The International Baccalaureate Program (IB) is a two-year pre-university course designed for high school juniors and seniors who are able and interested in challenging reading, thinking and writing.
The Learning Differences Program is for students with learning, sensory, and physical disabilities while the AIM program (the Asperger Initiative at Mercyhurst) is for students on the autism spectrum.
Service-Learning is both a teaching and learning strategy where meaningful community service is integrated with instruction and reflection to enrich the classroom learning experience.
