Peer Tutoring

Academic Support Programs provides one-on-one or small group tutoring in most subject areas. Peer tutors are students who have demonstrated mastery of the subject matter and are recommended by the faculty.

All students are encouraged to use this free service to achieve the best possible grades in their course work. On average, 39 percent of students using tutoring achieve a final grade of "B" or higher in the tutored course, and 39 percent earn a final grade of "C+" or "C".

Once enrolled, students can easily obtain a tutor through the student portal, my.mercyhurst.edu, using the Tutoring Web site or from listings found at several on-campus locations.
