More options. Mercyhurst offers a large number of majors and concentrations so when you're ready to decide, you'll have plenty of programs from which to choose. Plus, you're eligible to apply to the Mercyhurst College Honors Program, even without a declared major.

More time. All students complete 54 credits in the Mercyhurst common core of learning. So you can schedule core courses during your first year and make progress toward your degree. You won't need to declare a major until your sophomore year -- and you're free to change majors at any point after that.

More help. Mercyhurst has a number of programs and services that will help you explore available majors and careers, choose the right courses, and feel confident about your plans for the future. In addition, you'll be invited to join a unique learning community that is available exclusively to first year students who have not chosen a major. Members of the community take classes together, work with one another on assignments, and attend special social events.
