The Advanced Certificate in Accounting prepares professionals for public accounting, managerial accounting and internal auditing roles in the private, non-profit and government sectors. The 30 credit curriculum provides a sound education in both accounting theory and application. The program is registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Pennsylvania Department of Certified Accountants.
Students who complete the certificate program are qualified to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the Certified Management Accounting (CMA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) examinations. Individuals who hold these professional certifications enjoy significant advantages in the job market.
All courses are offered during days, evenings and weekends. A maximum of two three-credit courses completed during the last ten years may be applied toward the Certificate in lieu of equivalent required courses.
