The concentration in higher education administration will prepare students for a position or advancement in a higher education setting. The courses in the concentration focus on the practical and day-to-day running of a higher education institution, with students completing an invaluable internship in a higher education setting. The concentration will prepare students to work in any facet of higher education administration, including: student financial services, enrollment, student life, academics and advancement. The U.S. Department of Labor projects that job opportunities in the field of higher education administration should be “excellent” through 2018.

Nonprofit Management

The nonprofit business sector has unique leadership needs; with a concentration in nonprofit management, students will be uniquely prepared to meet them. This concentration focuses on organizational leadership, volunteer management, marketing, public relations and financial management to achieve success in educational, religious, human services and any other nonprofit settings.
