CPA Exam Preparation (OL Accounting Graduate Certificate)

Prepare for the CPA exam, and earn a graduate certificate in accounting through the Organizational Leadership graduate program. Each course offered within this certificate program is designed to specifically address material from each of the four CPA exam sections, including:

Auditing and Attestation (AUD) – ACCT 610
Business Environment and Concepts (BEC) - ACCT 630
Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) - ACCT 650
Regulation and Taxes (REG) - ACCT 635

In order to become a certified public accountant, you will need to pass each of the four exam sections. Mercyhurst students boast an 85 percent pass rate on this exam; the national average is 50 percent.

Graduate Certificate in Accounting

The Graduate Certificate in Accounting is a one-year, four-course (12-credit) program designed to provide knowledge at the level of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The certificate in accounting prepares students to be successful contributors and leaders in the field of accounting. Our curriculum is modeled after and uses materials from the Wiley CPA review. At the end of this four-course program, individuals will be prepared for all four sections of the CPA exam. These courses may be applied toward a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership in the future.
