Medical Office Management
If you are excited by the idea of the hustle and bustle of a busy office atmosphere, and have great attention to detail, the medical office profession may be calling.
The office management/medical office associate degree program is designed to prepare students for a more advanced and diverse position in a health care facility. In addition to the entry-level medical office courses, students will take courses in medical transcription, as well as in coding systems. Course work will include a high degree of competency in computer applications in a business/medical office. As part of this program, students will have the opportunity to participate in an internship program, where they may work in a physician's office or hospital department to reinforce the training received in the classroom.

Medical office managers and administrative assistants work in a variety of settings, including:

- Private medical practices
- Nursing homes
- Clinics
- Rehabilitation facilities
The degree would also prepare you for office manager positions in virtually any business setting.
