The bylaws of Mercyhurst College require that the number of college trustees be no fewer than 30, no more than 40; and that five of the trustees be members of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. (Section 3.04). Currently, the active roster includes 34 trustees. One trustee is on leave of absence.
Further, seven of the board members serve by virtue of their college office, as required by the bylaws under Section 3.06 (a).
