Dr.Verna Marina Ehret is an assistant professor of Religious Studies at Mercyhurst University. She holds a Ph.D. in Modern Religious Thought from the University of Iowa, an M.A.R. in Philosophy of Religion from Yale Divinity School, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Hamline University. Her primary fields of study are philosophical and constructive theology. Her most recent publications include “Narrating Home
” in Resisting the Place of Belonging: Uncanny Homecomings in Religion, Narrative, and the Arts (Ashgate, 2013), and “Doubt, Courage, and the Transformation of Redemption within Globalization: Combating Entrenchment
” through the North American Paul Tillich Society (vol. 38:2, 2012). Dr. Ehret also currently serves as the Director of Mercyhurst’s Prestigious Awards Program and as Regional Coordinator for the Eastern International Region of the American Academy of Religion.
