Kenneth Schiff Education and Academic Interests

Ken Schiff, director of the creative writing program, holds a Ph.D. from the University of Denver, an M.A. from Columbia University, and a B.A. from Grinnell College. His first novel, "Passing Go," received laudatory reviews in The New York Times Book Review and was nominated by Walker Percy for the National Book Award. Since then, he has completed two science fiction novels: "Bender's Loop," set in a Jungian virtual reality, and more recently "The Book of Luke," about a six-year-old boy cursed with extrasensory powers.
