Education and Academic Interests
Dr. Rieger holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame and a B.A. from the University of Dallas. She teaches composition, British literature, and world literature. Her essays addressing issues of gender, reading, and spectatorship in Victorian literature have appeared in Victorian Culture and Nineteenth-Century Feminisms. She has published essays on Victorian writers Alfred Lord Tennyson, D. G. Rossetti, and John Ruskin, in addition to articles on new approached to teaching world literature and writing. Dr. Rieger is also department sponsor for Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society.
