Catherine Gillespie, DHSc, PA-C, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Gannon University, a master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Doctorate of Health Science from NOVA Southeastern University.
Dr. Gillespie has more than 18 years of experience in physician assistant education, first as a clinical coordinator, then associate director at the Gannon University PA Program. As a physician assistant, she has been clinically active in women’s health, pediatrics, family practice and emergency medicine. Dr. Gillespie continues to practice as a physician assistant part-time in a primary care setting and in emergency medicine. She enjoys bringing her current medical experiences to the classroom. Dr. Gillespie has been active within the physician assistant profession at both the national and state level. She currently is a past resident of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.
