In selecting a student for admission, the admissions counselors at Mercyhurst University at the Booker T. Washington Center looks at several criteria in order to assess both the applicant's academic background and his or her readiness for success at the University level. These factors including reviewing the student's previous academic records. The University entrance policy is free of discrimination on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
The primary admission requirement for Mercyhurst University at the Booker T. Washington Center is graduation from high school, or a General Educational Development (GED) Equivalency Diploma. Other criteria may include SAT or ACT scores, completion of the COMPASS test (Mercyhurst University's placement test), and a personal interview. Additionally, a minimum grade point average of 1.75 in high school or equivalent G.E.D. scores. On occasion, the COMPASS requirement is waived.
